United States Vice-President Kamala Harris has rejected partisan criticism of political supporters from rival parties following a gaffe by President Joe Biden who appeared to compare Republican candidate Donald Trump’s supporters with “garbage.”

Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, told reporters on Wednesday she disagrees “with any criticism of people based on who they vote for”, shortly before boarding Air Force 2 on her way to her next campaign rally.
