Biden's Off-The-Cuff Remarks Create Headache For Harris Campaign

President Joe Biden made an off-the-cuff remark during a Zoom campaign call that has caused a stir for Democratic nominee Kamala Harris just days before the election. Biden's comment, criticizing a comic's insults at a Trump rally, referred to Trump supporters as 'garbage.' This incident comes as Harris was delivering a unifying message for her campaign.

Biden's tendency to go off script has previously caused issues, and this latest incident has drawn criticism from Republicans who accused him of denigrating Trump supporters. Biden clarified his remarks on social media, emphasizing his condemnation of Trump's demonization of Latinos.

Despite withdrawing from the presidential race earlier in the year, Biden has increased his political activity to maintain relevance and solidify his legacy. Meanwhile, Harris has been actively reaching out to Republican voters and distancing herself from Biden's controversial statements.

Previous gaffes by Biden, such as suggesting to 'lock up' Trump, have caused frustration among Harris' aides. Biden's slip-ups, including mistakenly referring to himself as running for president alongside Harris, have occasionally overshadowed her campaign events.

During an infrastructure event in Baltimore, Biden criticized Trump and made a comment about taking him for a swim, referencing the Puerto Rico remarks made at a recent rally. These incidents highlight the challenges of managing Biden's unscripted remarks as the election approaches.
