Biden offers condolences for deaths of US Marines in Australia crash as eight remain in hospital

President Joe Biden offered his condolences to the families of three US Marines killed in a fiery crash of a tiltrotor aircraft during military exercises in Australia.

The incident took place on Melville Island, just off the northern coast of Australia on Sunday around 9.30am, when a MV-22B Osprey aircraft with 23 Marines on board crashed and caught fire.
