A campaign to cut the speed limit through New Galloway’s narrow main street is gathering momentum.

Concerns have been voiced for some time that the present 30mph standard is too fast for public safety.

The Royal Burgh of New Galloway and Kells Community Council backs a 20mph limit – and sought public support for the move.
