Bhupesh Baghel asks Smriti Irani to check women's plight in UP before questioning Chhattisgarh

RAIPUR: Taking a dig on Union Minister Smriti Irani joining a "Mehatri hunkar rally" in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said that before questioning the state on women’s plight, Irani should first compare the gravity of situation with that of Uttar Pradesh and explain why are trains not running on time which is one of the most convenient modes of travel for women.

The Congress has also posed eight questions to the Union minister over inflation and crimes against women during the previous BJP regime in Chhattisgarh.
