BHOPAL: Heavy security arrangements will be in place across the city on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, Parshuram Jayanti and Akshay Tritiya festivals on Tuesday. Special security arrangements will be in place at Gufa Mandir in Lalghati where Parshuram Jayanti will be celebrated and at Zone-3 area where the Namaz on Eid will be offered at Idgah in Idgah Hills.
A force of 3,000 police officers and personnel will be deployed across the city. A platoon of Rapid Action Force (RAF) from the CRPF, along with drone cameras and riot control vehicles will be deployed in sensitive area. The force will be deployed early in the morning around 5am till the programme ends late in the afternoon.
DCP (security and intelligence) Vijay Bhagwani said that police have received an additional force of 1,300 policemen from the police headquarters including a platoon of 105 policemen of RAF from the CRPF, special armed force (SAF) and others. Holidays of the police force were already cancelled. Apart from that three drone cameras, camera-mounted vehicles, bomb disposal squad and additional 24 patrolling vehicles will be deployed.
DCP Bhagwani said that special striking force teams armed with riot control arms and armour will be deployed at sensitive areas. Special checking drive at sensitive spots including railway stations, bus stands, malls and market places by bomb disposal squad and other teams will start from Monday evening.
