BHOPAL: A 25-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a 55-year-old railway employee at her home in Nishatpura locality. When the woman protested, the accused lured her in his trap saying that he was unmarried and would marry her. Later, he married her at a temple around four years back. He took her to his home in Ayodhya Nagar where he raped her repeatedly for two days. Later, his wife forced the survivor out of her house. The wife of the accused told her that her husband married her at the temple so that she could not file rape complaint against him.
The survivor filed a maintenance case against the accused before the court, which was rejected as the accused refused to accept the survivor as his wife. Subsequently, the survivor filed a complaint with police on which a case on charges of rape and fraud was registered against the accused railway employee and his wife at Mahila Thana on Monday.
