BHOPAL: Three men hurled stones at a pet dog, which was barking at them, and then attacked its owner, a 60-year-old woman, with swords when she objected. Two of the accused are habitual offenders who were released from jail only a week ago.
The victim, Laxmi Singh, threw up her right hand to protect herself from the sword and sustained a deep cut. Had she not done so, the sword would have cut her head, said police.
