Former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao will be conferred with the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award, incumbent PM Narendra Modi announced on February 9. Along with Rao, former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh and agricultural scientist Dr MS Swaminathan will be posthumously honoured with the Bharat Ratna.
