Bharat Forge, Flying Whales ink MoU to manufacture heavy-lift airships in India

New Delhi: An Indian firm has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with a French-Canadian heavy-lift airship technology company to jointly develop and manufacture advanced airships for India's defence and strategic operational requirements.

The partnership between Bharat Forge Limited and Flying Whales marks a decisive step towards building an indigenous airship ecosystem in India, aligned to the government's Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives, the Indian company said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
