Bharat Forge bags Rs 425 crore Ministry of Defence contract for Navy generators

Bharat Forge the Indian Navy Ministry of Defence United States

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Friday signed a contract worth about Rs 425 crore with Bharat Forge Ltd for the procurement of 12 sets of 1.25 MW Marine Gas Turbine Generators for the Indian Navy.

The contract was signed under the Buy (Indian) category and includes a minimum indigenous content of 60%, the defence ministry said in a statement. The agreement was inked in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.
