Britain's Got Talent viewers were distracted on Saturday evening as many claimed they recognised a contestant in dance troupe 5 Star Boys from BBC One dance competition The Greatest Dancer.
Judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden returned for another instalment of the auditions on the hit ITV talent show.
Five schoolboys took to the stage of Britain's Got Talent and said they were performing to take a stand against the bullying they faced because of their passion for dancing.
The young dancers - Toby-Jay, Ollie, Joey, Beau and Adam - formed the group 5 Star Boys after they met at a dance convention in Birmingham and performed an emotional routine on the ITV stage in Saturday's episode.
Their performance of You Will Be Found, from the hit musical Dear Evan Hansen, touched on their bullying ordeal.
As the boys performed, several Britain's Got Talent viewers took to Twitter to congratulate them on the routine, with some even deeming it Golden Buzzer-worthy, while several ITV fans also said they thought they recognised one of the dancers from another TV show.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "I remember that Joey kid from The Greatest Dancer," as another posted: "One of these boys is Joseph from The Greatest Dancer."
Another tweeted: "Think one of the boys was on The Greatest Dancer," as a fourth wrote: "The Five lads were good, one of those lads was on Britain's Greatest Dancer with Alesha on BBC couple of years back."
Another posted: "ITS JOSEPH off the greatest dancer."
Fans seemed to recognise one of the boys as Joseph Chow, who was one of the acts on the BBC talent show and proved popular with the show's dance captains Cheryl Cole, Matthew Morrison, Oti Mabuse and Todrick Hall.
Britain's Got Talent returned to our screens earlier this month, after two years off-air due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
After the forced hiatus, judges Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon all reunited to once again search for the country's next big star, and unearth some previously undiscovered talent.
However, within hours of the first show premiering on ITV on Saturday night, speculation began that certain aspects of the show had been 'fixed' - with several auditions causing a few eyebrows to be raised by viewers tuned in at home.
The most controversial moment from Britain's Got Talent's opening episode came as singer Loren Allred gave a breathtaking rendition of Never Enough from The Greatest Showman soundtrack.
The hopeful contestant's performance was enough for judge Amanda to hit the Golden Buzzer, but some of those watching from the sofa felt Loren had an unfair advantage over other wannabes.
It was revealed on Saturday night's show that Loren was actually the original voice behind the musical movie's smash hit single - the very song she belted out for her audition.
While Loren doesn't appear in the film, which starred Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron and Zendaya, she did provide the vocals for the iconic performance of the hit track, with the part played by actress Rebecca Ferguson, who stars as opera singer Jenny Lind.
Comedian Axel Blake impressed judges, the audience and viewers with his charming persona and witty jokes on Saturday night's show - receiving a Golden Buzz pass through to the live semi-finals from Simon.
However, many were quick to point out how Axel, 33, is already a pretty successful stand-up comedian with a show on one of the world's biggest streaming platforms, Amazon Prime.
Britain's Got Talent 2022 continues Saturday at 8pm on ITV.
