City’s Sports Entertainment and Media (SEM), a organisation established recently to promote sports, has announced Bezawada Premier League, a T20 format cricket tournament here on Sunday.
The logo of the league, teams jerseys, trophies and website were unveiled at the curtain raiser held in the city.
The SEM logo was launched by G. Ramesh, chairman of Anu Group of Hospitals, the title sponsor of the league and T. Trinadha Raju, former vice president of Andhra Cricket Association and the BPL logo was launched by Ankamma Chowdary, joint secretary of the Badminton Association of India and Sam Movva, past district governor of Rotary District 3020.
The organisers Krishna Prabhu and Kishan Babu said the maiden sports event of SEM will see the participation of over 300 players in 20 teams from across Andhra Pradesh. The tournament will begin on April 7 and will conclude on April 17, they said.
