LOS ANGELES (AP) — Beyoncé is set to receive the innovator award at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards following the release of her highly anticipated eighth studio album. The ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on April 1, with Ludacris as the host.
The award recognizes Beyoncé's groundbreaking career, marked by creative risks and significant influence on pop culture. Her recent Renaissance World Tour has also contributed to this recognition.
Joining Ludacris in the performance lineup are Justin Timberlake, Green Day, TLC, Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, and Tate McRae. The iconic Cher will be honored with the iHeartRadio icon award.
Beyoncé's upcoming album, “Act ll: Cowboy Carter,” is a follow-up to the critically acclaimed “Act I: Renaissance” released in 2022. Notably, she made history last month by becoming the first Black woman to top Billboard’s country music chart with the hit “Texas Hold ’Em.”
At this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards, Beyoncé has received five nominations, including R&B artist of the year, R&B song of the year for “Cuff It,” favorite tour style, best fan army, and favorite on-screen for “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.”
Taylor Swift leads the nominations with nine nods, followed closely by Jelly Roll, SZA, and 21 Savage with eight each. Olivia Rodrigo received seven nominations.
