Beyonce may have recently sold out Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for five nights – but away from the stage it appears the Grammy winner also enjoys a Netflix binge like the rest of us.
According to reports, the Break My Soul singer, 41, is a fan of Regency drama Bridgerton and was treated to a private tour of the set in between her Renaissance UK tour dates.
The 41-year-old was said to have been shown around by some of the Netflix show’s stars earlier this month after show bosses learned of her love for the series, and invited her for a tour ahead of her London concert dates.
A source told The Sun: “The set was placed on lockdown for her visit and everyone involved was told not to breathe a word.
“It was a huge moment for the cast and crew. She asked lots of questions and was really interested.
“Everyone was saying afterwards they were struck by how lovely and down-to-earth she was.”
The Standard has contacted Beyonce’s rep and a Netflix spokesperson for comment.
String versions of Beyonce’s hits such as Halo, Déjà vu and Run The World have appeared on the Bridgerton soundtrack while several of her songs have also been used in spin-off Queen Charlotte.
Her influence on the popular series doesn’t end there however, as the drama’s head hair and makeup designer, Marc Pilcher, previously revealed how Beyonce’s hair in Austin Powers inspired Queen Charlotte’s ‘do in the first instalment of the Netflix hit.
Pilcher told Harper’s Bazaar in 2021: “I was like, ‘She’s going to have the biggest ‘fro that you’ve ever seen’”.
The reports come after Beyoncé enjoyed a five-night residency at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where she paid homage to the city’s fashion talents — including Vivienne Westwood, Robert Wun, David Koma, Roksanda, and Alexander McQueen, and even brought her daughter Blue Ivy on stage.
