Pop superstar Beyonce has fuelled speculation that new music could be on the way after removing her profile pictures from social media.
Fans, known as the 'BeyHive', went into a frenzy after the 40-year old updated her Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok accounts, to leave a blank image in place of her previous snap.
The former Destiny's Child star last released a studio album in 2016 - the smash hit, 'Lemonade', although she did collaborate with husband Jay-Z on their 2018 record 'Everything is Love' under their banner, The Carters.
The Tab excited fans further on Saturday by pointing out on it's Twitter account: "The last time she did this was in 2016. In the space of just 48 hours, Beyoncé deleted her branding, released Formation and announced a fifth world tour. Be scared. It looks like we’re in for a wild weekend."
One Twitter user wrote: "Beyonce deleted her profile picture on every single platform she's on... going to sleep scared and nervous to what I might wake up to."
Another commented: "Beyonce removed all of her profile pics on all of her social media accounts? As a reformed BeyHive member, I know what that means."
A third said: "Beyonce didn't change that profile picture for nothing, I just know it."
A seemingly overwhelmed fourth user declared: "Beyonce release the album or lead single or announce it or something, you can't remove all your profile pictures, send the entire world into chaos and then just be silent. Like damn b**** we know you're the queen but please give us something."
Other users simply praised the superstar's PR.
Within moments of removing the profile pictures, her name was trending around the globe.
A proud fan said: "We should talk about the insane marketeer that is Beyonce. She is unmatched. Her name is everywhere, buzzing, magazines and news writing about her just basically because of having no profile picture."
Rumours of a possible Destiny's Child reunion, meanwhile, have also been doing the rounds.
The group disbanded in 2006, allowing Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to embark on solo careers.
The threesome have reunited occasionally in the past, however, most notably at the 2013 Super Bowl Halftime Show.
