Urgent food recall notices have been issued on three separate products all regarding salmonella scares.
The first involves Tesco which is is recalling its Tesco Hog Roast Style Pork with Apple Sauce because the crackling crumb sachet within the pack may contain Salmonella.
Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

The recall concerns the 425g pack size with use by dates of January 6, 9 and 17 of 2022 (the product is suitable for home freezing) as well as February 6 and March 8 and 9 of 2022.
If you have bought any of the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Waitrose has recalled its Waitrose & Partners Green Pesto with Basil because of the presence of salmonella.
It concerns the pack size 145g with a use by date of February 27, 2022.
Again, if you have bought the above product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Finally A bbott has recalled two infant formula powders - Elecare Similac and Alimentum Similac- because of the possible presence of Salmonella and Cronobacter sakazakii, a bacteria that can cause infections.
Both products are foods used for special medical purposes for infants, ordinarily to be used under medical supervision.

Symptoms caused by Salmonella and Cronobacter sakazakii usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.
In severe cases it may lead to sepsis or meningitis which include symptoms in infants like poor feeding, irritability, temperature changes, jaundice (yellow skin and whites of the eyes) and abnormal breaths and movements.
Abbott is recalling the above products and have contacted all stores and pharmacies that are supplying these products.
Advice to consumers is if you have purchased or been prescribed any of the above product batches, do not feed it to your baby and return to the place of purchase.
