With four weeks left to play in the regular season, it’s probably too soon to say Jalen Hurts will win MVP. But the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is definitely the leader going into Week 15.
At BetMGM, his -165 odds lead the way by a sizable margin over Patrick Mahomes at +200.
Hurts is playing at an elite level, and Philly’s 12-1 record only helps his case. Seeing the way things are trending, bettors jumped on his odds after Sunday’s blowout win over the New York Giants. Of the MVP bets placed since that game, 90% have been on Hurts.
It was smart for bettors to get in now before Philly’s next game.

The Eagles play the Bears this weekend, favored by nine points on the road. And even that spread feels generous considering the Bears allow the fourth-most points to opponents and the Eagles lead the league in scoring.
This game isn’t just an opportunity for the Eagles to add another win to the record, it’s a chance for Hurts to pad his stats and improve his MVP odds. They won’t likely get any longer after Sunday.
While Chicago doesn’t necessarily allow a lot of yards through the air, the reason isn’t because of a good secondary. It’s mostly because the Bears are so bad against the run, that teams don’t have to air it out.
Hurts can do both, and there’s a good chance he puts on a show in Chicago. You can never rule Mahomes out, but he has some work to do if he wants to make up ground.
