The NFL season is in the back half, and as the calendar days tic, the temperatures continue to drop. Which makes it important for teams to have a viable rushing attack as throwing the ball can get dicey in the cooler conditions.
Lucky for the Tennessee Titans, they have arguably the best runner in all of football.
Of course we’re talking about Derrick Henry— All-Pro running back Derrick Henry, that is. And just as the former NFL rushing champ has run all over the rest of the league since his arrival, bettors expect him to do the same to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night.
According to John Ewing of BetMGM, Henry is the subject of the three most bet-on props ahead of Thursday’s action.
The props:

Derrick Henry to score 1st TD (+400)
Derrick Henry to score anytime TD (-200)
Derrick Henry over 99.5 rushing yards (-120)

Let’s comb through this likelihood of each prop hitting.
Will Derrick Henry score the first touchdown of the game? Well, the odds are long for a reason. Henry has only been the first touchdown scorer once through nine games this season, which suggests he’s unlikely to do so against the Packers in Week 11.
An anytime touchdown is incredibly likely, however. He’s got at least one TD in six games this season. And even if that number were at zero, I’d still place a bet.
The last of the three props being heavily wagered on is for Henry to rush for over 99.5 yards. If you’ve followed the NFL at all over the last few seasons, you’re well aware of the monster games that he’s capable of producing. Over the last three seasons (35 games) Henry’s reached at least 100 rushing yards on 20 separate occasions. The math shows that he’s reached triple-digit rushing yards 57.1 percent of the time over that span. Can he do it again on TNF?
