Beto's agent breaks silence amid Everton transfer links as Victor Osimhen claim made

The agent of Udinese star Beto has broken his silence over the transfer interest from Premier League clubs, amid links with Everton.

During the January transfer window, a number of attacking individuals emerged as potential targets as the Blues looked to bolster their forward ranks during the latter stages. However, there were no new arrivals at Goodison Park as Sean Dyche was forced to make do despite Dominic Calvert-Lewin's injury troubles.

A report in the Mirror claimed that Everton submitted an offer worth £20m, with a further £3m in bonuses, for Beto which was reportedly turned down by the Serie A club.

Paulo Regula, speaking to Sport Italia, says it's normal for Beto's performances to attract attention from elite clubs and he has hopes of the forward emulating the likes of Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen.

"Everyone sees what Beto is doing," he said. "We see it, and the top clubs see it in the same way. His performance speaks for itself and it’s not normal given the fact he arrived in Italy from a small club (Portimonense).

"This is what arouses the interest of big clubs, I find it normal."

Asked whether Beto can hit the heights of a striker like Omishen, Regula added: "I am extremely convinced of this. After going through a normal period of adaptation, after last year's injury, Beto has shown certain numbers that prove just that: 9 goals and 1 assist this season are important numbers for a new boy in one of the best European leagues."
