Beto O’Rourke spent more than any other Democratic statewide candidate or officeholder in Texas

Texas Democratic statewide candidates and officeholders have spent $24.2 million during the 2022 election cycle. Among statewide officials and candidates, Beto O’Rourke has spent more than any other Democrat.

O’Rourke is running for Governor of Texas in 2022. O’Rourke raised $40.8 million and spent $15.9 million between Jan. 1, 2021, and June 30, 2022. According to Texas Ethics Commission reports, O’Rourke spent the most money with the following individual payees and PACs.
