Betinho has sent a message to Portugal stars Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes after the little-known striker was named alongside them on the Manchester United squad list following an error on the Premier League website.
With the January window not yet open, eagle-eyed United supporters had spotted a new addition to their squad before Erik ten Hag and his team got down to business against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night. According to the Premier League website, United had settled on their replacement for departed Cristiano Ronaldo.
Cody Gakpo had been tracked in that regard before PSV came to an agreement with Liverpool, but a few eyebrows were raised when it seemed as though Betinho had been signed. Of course, it was all down to an administrative slip-up from the Premier League - but the man in question has seen the funny side.

Betinho, 29, actually progressed through the Sporting Lisbon ranks like Ronaldo - while his career has taken him to Belenenses and he even played one game for Brentford on loan during the 2014/2015 season. He currently plays for S.C. Espinho who operate in the Portuguese Third Division.
Needless to say, his big 'move' to Old Trafford caught everyone - including the player - by surprise.
After spotting the news, Betinho reposted a photoshopped image featuring him wearing the United shirt on social media platform Instagram, before messaging compatriots Dalot and Fernandes who have returned to the club after representing Portugal at the World Cup.
In a short caption via his story, the frontman said: "Thank you Manchester United. See you soon!"
He tagged Dalot and Fernandes on his post along with a laughing face emoji. Betinho added: "It's going to be a pleasure sharing a changing room with you."
