Over the weekend of Aug. 11, Frankel turned her lens to the devastating wildfires that destroyed Lāhainā, a historic Hawaiian city on the island of Maui that started three days earlier.
Frankel revealed that her nonprofit organization Bstrong was on the ground providing relief in Maui. But as the number of people in need of shelter grows, finding space for them is a struggle. But Frankel has a suggestion -- and some Airbnb and Vrbo owners may not like it.

"Do you want to really help the victims of Maui?" she asks her 1.4 million followers. "We have $550,000 of Airbnb vouchers for people. The problem is that on the website, people's homes are still at the full vacation price. So I need you to urge anyone who owns a home or condo on the island of Maui to reduce the price of their home."

Frankel believes that now is the time for these homeowners to "significantly reduce the price of their homes because this is how we are doing temporary relocations."
Not all homeowners in the area are wild about the idea. After all, tourism has continued unhindered to other parts of the Hawaiian islands. Some commenters on the star's TikTok disagreed, saying that landlords shouldn't bear the economic responsibility of the incident.
