There's something wild about watching a professional trials rider casually hop a motorcycle onto a rock taller than your refrigerator. Meanwhile, the rest of us are arguing about whether 150 horsepower is enough for a Sunday ride. Trials riding exists in its own bizarre corner of motorcycling, where speed is practically irrelevant, balance is everything, and gravity is apparently more of a suggestion than a law. And Italian manufacturer Beta has just updated its weapons of choice for 2027.
If you're unfamiliar with motorcycle trials, imagine taking a dirt bike, removing most of its seat, shrinking it down, and then asking someone to ride it over obstacles that would make a mountain goat reconsider its life choices. Riders navigate rocks, logs, steep climbs, and ridiculously technical terrain, often at walking speeds. The objective isn't to go fast but to clear sections without putting a foot down. Sounds simple enough until you actually try it.
