Beswicks opens new Birmingham base

Law firm Beswicks Legal has opened a brand new base in Birmingham.

The Stoke-on-Trent company – which marked its centenary last year – has opened its latest branch at Two Snow Hill in a move which bosses say will help to 'build our client base and accelerate our growth.'

The new office will be headed up by legal duo Baljit Chohan and Michael Bennett, who have more than 50 years' experience between them.

Baljit has extensive experience as a partner in some of the biggest law firms in the country working in both national and international roles.

He specialises in national and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and joint ventures.

Baljit will work alongside commercial property partner Michael who specialises in advising businesses on leasing, managing, disposing of and acquiring commercial property.

Beswicks' managing partner Nick Phillips said: "Baljit and Michael are not only outstanding lawyers they are also experienced operators in Birmingham, who have a keen understanding of the Birmingham market and the needs and ambitions of businesses in the Midlands region and beyond.

"Our new Birmingham base will give existing clients in the Midlands ease of access to our full range of legal services, while also enabling us to build our client base and accelerate our growth."

Baljit said: "I am excited to be joining Beswicks Legal at this stage of its growth and delivering high quality commercial legal solutions for clients from the Birmingham base."

Michael added: "It is an exciting time to be joining Beswicks Legal and the opening of the Birmingham office underscores the firm’s ambitious growth plans and marks a clear statement of intent."

The launch of Beswicks' Birmingham base comes hot on the heels of the firm's acquisition of Maddocks Clarke in Altrincham, last year, which has helped Beswicks to expand its presence in the North West.
