The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0 after a battle with the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2. After a slow start on offense, the team managed to stick around all game and rally with some key plays on both sides of the ball. The dramatic nature of the primetime game made for some frustration, but also some exciting moments for fans throughout the night.
Here are some of the best Twitter reactions from the Week 2 win on Thursday Night Football:
Rashad Fenton’s rough start
The Chiefs’ secondary was praised for its performance last week in Arizona but got off to a slow start in Week 2. The majority of the first-half troubles centered around veteran cornerback Rashad Fenton. Fenton was burned by Mike Williams for a long gain and committed two costly pass interference penalties catching the ire of spectators on Twitter.
Fenton is a great story as a former sixth round pick, but leaning on him to eliminate a guy like Mike Williams is a game plan that isn't gonna work.

Wow, not a good rep for Rashad Fenton. Two penalties and still gave up the catch. Is that the equivalent of a soft foul when a dude still dunks on your head?

Fenton is a liability Jesus Christ

Fenton never turns his head and always commit penalties. I'm starting to get really annoyed by it. #ChiefsKingdom

Derwin James lays the smackdown on Travis Kelce
Chargers defensive back Derwin James is known for his physicality. Well, he took a page out of the WWE’s book with this takedown of Travis Kelce on a Chiefs drive to the red zone. James stopped Kelce short and garnered plenty of attention for his aggressive tackle on social media.

Mecole Hardman walks off after that play and tells Justin Watson to come in for him who scores a TD.
Looks like Hardman sat on the bench and talked to the trainer before getting up to congratulate his guys.
His night could be over. #ChiefsKingdom

Former Bucs receiver Justin Watson catches a touchdown pass from Patrick Mahomes tonight in his second game with the Chiefs. He had two touchdowns in 40 games with the Bucs from 2018-21.

From the moment he arrived in Kansas City, Justin Watson has been super impressive. Watson's 1st reception with the Chiefs goes for a 41-yard touchdown.

Stone Cold lived up to his nickname as Chris Jones was a terror all night for the Chargers’ offensive line. Jaylen Watson’s 99-yard interception return for a touchdown
The Chiefs were in a dire situation in the fourth quarter, trying to keep Los Angeles out of the end zone from the one-yard line. Rookie cornerback Jaylen Watson had other plans as he picked off Justin Herbert, returning it 99 yards for a touchdown. Twitter critics quickly praised the rookie late round selection

Three years ago, Jaylen Watson was working at a Wendy's while he was trying to find somewhere to continue playing football.
Tonight, he has a 99-yard INT of Justin Herbert in his 2nd career NFL game.
Perseverance would be an understatement.

Jaylen Watson barely fell outside my 3rd-round grades this year. No. 109 overall on my board. Had no business falling to the 7th round.
