Newcastle United director has broken his silence after being linked with an audacious takeover at Chelsea. The Toon board member was present at Southampton alongside both co-owners Amanda Staveley and Mehrdad Ghodoussi.
The former Queens Park Rangers executive member posted a tweet of the trio simply reading "best team" while Ghodoussi posted a humourous response reading "You'll never leave me".
Reuben was linked with a bid for Chelsea after Roman Abramovich was forced to put the for sale signs up at Stamford Bridge. But the news that Reuben is staying on at St James' Park is a boost for Newcastle fans.
Reuben said back on October: "We’re really excited to make Newcastle live up to its potential. "Look we’re long term, patient investors, we definitely want to be competing at the top end of the table.
"We definitely want to be competing for trophies but at the moment the immediate priority is we need to ensure we get the results we need right now and build the infrastructure to ensure we compete at high levels going forward."
