The holy month of Ramadan will soon be underway and will see Muslims all over the world partake in fasting for 30 days from dawn to dusk. It is also a time of self-reflection and improvement as many aim to close their relationship with God.
While it is obligatory for healthy Muslim adults to partake in Ramadan, children are not required to do so but are often encouraged to take part in one way or the other. One way of helping children stay engaged in Ramadan is setting up an advent calendar.
These calendars are a great way of teaching children about the holy month of Ramadan as well as rewarding them for putting the effort in during the holiday. Despite this, many may be surprised that there are advent calendars out there for adults as well as children.
