Rio Ferdinand insists this is the 'most confident' he's been going into a Liverpool fixture for 'six or seven years' when Manchester United travel to Anfield on Sunday.
Erik ten Hag's side currently sit in third place in the Premier League and 10 points ahead of rivals Liverpool. The Reds know three points will be massive for their pursuit of a top four spot.
The former United centre half believes Ten Hag's side are on an upward trajectory while Jurgen Klopp's men have hit a wall and stagnated.

Ahead of the biggest clash in England, Ferdinand was asked on BT Sport whether he was nervous about the match on Sunday at Anfield.
"Nervous? This is the most confident I've been going into a Liverpool fixture for the last six or seven years," Ferdinand said. "I think Man United are on the up whereas Liverpool have stagnated and taken a couple of steps backwards.
"They've been on a formidable run the last few years, but they aren't the Liverpool team that we've seen the last few years at the moment. What a time to go to Anfield, it's the best place to win as a Man United player."
