The Ohio State women’s basketball team had a great season and a memorable run in the women’s NCAA Tournament, but it came to an end on Monday night in the Elite 8 against the Virginia Tech Hokies.
It was a back-and-forth offensive game in the first half, but that gave way to a slower-paced, more efficient game from Virginia Tech in the second half. The Hokies slowly pulled away and did enough down the stretch to keep the Buckeyes at arm’s reach to advance to the Final Four with an 84-74 victory.
