Michigan State basketball continued its winning ways on Saturday afternoon.
The Spartans controlled the game most of the way en route to an 86-69 victory over Florida Atlantic from the Breslin Center on Saturday. The Spartans built up a double-digit lead going into halftime and never let the Owls get it back within single digits in the second half for the convincing victory.
Michigan State was led in scoring by Coen Carr, who finished the game with 17 points and eight rebounds. Jaden Akins (13 points), Jeremy Fears (13 points) and Frankie Fidler (10 points) also hit double-digits in scoring in the win.
With the victory, Michigan State improved to 10-2 overall this year. The Spartans have won five straight games and eight of their last nine.
Michigan State will return to the court on December 30 in its final non-conference game of the regular season against Western Michigan. This game will be played at the Breslin Center.
