Equipping the best perks has now become more important than ever in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 due to the addition of Wall Jumps and Grappling Hooks to traditional Battle Royale and Resurgence.
Wall Jumps and Grappling Hooks, which received huge positive feedback during trials in limited-time modes, completely change how you engage and escape in combat. To help you make the most of them, we break down the best perks for each slot in Warzone so you can maximize both mobility and survivability.

Best Perks for every slot in BO7 Warzone Season 3
Perk Slot 1
| Perk | Effects |
|---|---|
| Drill Instructor | – When you sprint for more than one second, you will start health regeneration. – You and your allies that remain within 25 meters of you will gain a 3 percent movement speed and 15 percent faster mantling. This buff will last 10 seconds after moving out of range. – Cannot stack with other Drill Instructors. |
| Scavenger | – Dead enemies drop a pack that supplies additional ammo, equipment, and plates. |
| Surveyor | – When nearby enemies within 120 meters use a Buy Station or start a Contract, they will briefly appear on the map. – UAVs that you use will have a 20 percent larger radius and your mini-map is zoomed out by 20 percent. – Downed enemies will be visually outlined through walls within a 40-meter radius. |
| Mountaineer | – Increases the height before you would take critical fall damage by 5 meters. – You can use Combat Roll to further reduce damage by 10% and avoid the movement penalty from high falls. – Increases ladder climb speed by 15 percent. |
| Field Medic | – You revive others 25 percent faster. – Your bleed out duration is increased by 25 percent. – When you revive another player, they auto-equip one of their plates and gain 5 percent movement speed for 3 seconds. – When you are revived, you auto-equip one of your plates and gain 5 percent movement speed for 3 seconds. – Resistant to Flash, Concussion, Gas, and Shock equipment effects. |

For squad play, I highly suggest equipping Drill Instructor and Field Medic. Drill Instructor boosts speed and mobility for yourself and your allies, perfect for flanking or aggressive rotations. Meanwhile, Field Medic supports a more defensive style that allows for quick revives. Make sure to coordinate with your teammates so one runs Drill Instructor while another takes Field Medic.
Surveyor also shines in trios or quads by giving your squad extra situational awareness, making it easier to track enemies around the map. Solo players can go with Mountaineer, which reduces fall damage, a useful perk if you’re looking to maximize Wall Jumps and Grappling Hooks for high-ground maneuvers.
Perk Slot 2
| Perk | Effects |
|---|---|
| Sprinter | – You can use Tactical Sprint. – You can reload while tactical sprinting. – Reduce penalties for movement when reloading and using equipment. |
| Reactive Armor | – Your armor regenerates up to 100 percent of your maximum if you have not taken damage in the last 2 seconds. |
| Quick Fix | – Insert plates one-handed. (This allows you to hip-fire when plating) – Immediately start health regen upon eliminating enemies or inserting armor plates. |
| Berserker | – On kill, gain 30 percent speed to the following for 7 seconds: Equipment deployment Weapon swap Reloading Plate insertion – Gain 30 percent flinch resistance. – When at low health, your screen is less obstructed. |
| Momentum | – Reduce consecutive jump penalties. – Reduce sliding ADS and jumping ADS speeds by 30 percent. – Reduce fire delay when sliding by 20 percent. – Reduce hip fire spread by 20 percent. – Increase ADS movement speed by 13 percent. – Crouch and prone 20 percent faster. |

Momentum is one of the strongest choices here, especially for hectic close-quarters combat. It improves handling and mobility, allowing you to outplay enemies, especially when running an SMG, in tight spaces.
Sprinter remains solid for quick rotations and aggressive repositioning, while also reducing movement penalties when reloading or using equipment, crucial for staying alive in fast fights. If you like to push aggressively and keep the pressure on your target, Berserker is a great option, as it speeds up reloads and armor plate insertions after securing a kill.
Perk Slot 3
| Perk | Effects |
|---|---|
| Survivor | – When your armor plates are full, gain one-hit protection against ballistic weapons. – Your health will start regenerating after 4 seconds. – Your allies will revive you faster. |
| Adaptive | – When your plates are not full, gain a 10 percent movement speed increase. – When your plates are full, gain improved ADS speed and sprint to fire speed. – Gain an audible warning when in close proximity to trap equipment. – Traps you set off will be delayed. – Gain the ability to reset fuses when you throw back a grenade. |
| Tempered | – When refilling armor, it takes two plates instead of three. |
| Ghost | – Become undetectable from all enemy UAVs while moving. – Lack of movement for 5 seconds or more will disable Ghost. |
| Hunter | – When shooting an enemy, briefly outline them based on range. – Gain the ability to track enemy footprints for 10 seconds. – Sense enemies that are within 30 meters of you. – Sense when your are being aimed at. – When you use a UAV, your squad can see the heading of enemies. |

For the final slot, I recommend choosing Adaptive if you want to further enhance your mobility as well as handling. When paired with Drill Instructor and Momentum, it creates a movement setup that lets you outpace enemies in close-quarters battles.
If you’re aiming to boost your squad’s awareness, Hunter is a strong choice. It combines the benefits of the old Tracker and Alertness perks, highlighting enemies you shoot and showing enemy headings when you pop a UAV, while also giving you visual warning when an enemy is aiming at you. This makes it especially useful for snipers or anyone wanting better intel on enemy positions.
Best Perk Package in Warzone Season 3

For pure mobility, I recommend going with Drill Instructor, Momentum/Sprinter, and Adaptive. This perk package works especially well if you main ARs or SMGs like me, and thrive in fast-paced, close-range fights. Aggressive players may swap Momentum or Sprinter for Berserker to maintain offensive pressure.
If you prefer improving your survivability as well as team-oriented gameplay, I suggest selecting Field Medic/Surveyor, Sprinter, and Hunter. This setup balances healing, awareness, and movement, giving your squad the tools to survive and control engagements more effectively.
