Dumud Gild is the only pal that provides a constant supply of High-Quality Pal Oil, which is essential for crafting resources like Polymer and guns such as muskets, SMGs, and more. Polymers make Circuit Boards in the late-game, which are essential to make crude oil extractors and a myriad of electric buildings to boost your economy. You can get High Quality Pal Oil by killing or catching Mammorest, but it is a very time-consuming process, so Dumud passively makes this critical resource right at your base.
Unlike the normal Dumud, the Gild version also gives you gold coins, which is a good way of passively earning money in the game to buy stuff from the Merchants.

Best early-game Farming Pals in Palworld
Lamball
Lamball is the number one entry on the Paldeck and one of the most abundant Pals early on in the starting region. They are also a valuable member of your base for their ability to produce Wool. To produce Wool, though, Lamball must be assigned to a Ranch. The Ranch is unlocked from level five of the Technology tree, and can be built with 50 Wood, 20 Fiber, and 30 Stone.
Lamball will automatically graze at the Ranch after one has been built and will frequently drop Wool. Any Pals with the Transporting skill will automatically take the Wool and deposit it in a chest for you. Lamball also has the Transporting skill and the Handiwork skill, making it a staple of any Palworld workforce.
Cremis and Melpaca also drop Wool if assigned to a Ranch.
