Best Mammoth loadout in Warzone for high bullet velocity and steady recoil control

The Mammoth is the newest LMG in Warzone Season 5, but it struggles to compete with the current meta because of its slow fire rate and below-average TTK. However, with the right build that prioritizes bullet velocity and recoil control, you can still have a dependable option for mid to long-range gunfights.

Here’s the best Mammoth loadout to help you get the most out of the weapon in Warzone.

Quick Summary

  • Our best Mammoth loadout focuses on bullet velocity and recoil control for consistent medium to long-range precision.
  • Using attachments that improve bullet deviation like the LTI Stentorian Brake can make sustained fire easier to control.
  • Pair the Mammoth with a meta SMG like the CBRS-3 or VST to cover close-range fights.

While the Mammoth isn’t among the strongest LMGs in the current Warzone meta, this build addresses its biggest weaknesses by maximizing bullet velocity and tightening its recoil pattern. As a result, it’s much easier to stay accurate during extended gunfights especially at medium range.

The FANG Hoverpoint ELO offers recoil stabilization without cluttering your view. The Stentorian Brake and VAS Convergence Foregrip significantly reduce recoil and bullet deviation, helping keep your shots centered during sustained fire. The brake also slightly increases fire rate, but if you want to stay hidden on the mini-map when shooting, replace it with the Monolithic Suppressor.

The Grovel Barrel further improves both vertical and horizontal recoil while providing a valuable boost to bullet velocity. Pair that with the Overpressured rounds to increase bullet velocity even further, making it easier to land shots on moving targets across longer sightlines.

The Mammoth LMG is built for mid to long-range fights, so it’s best paired with a meta SMG like the CBRS-3 or VST for close-quarters engagements.

For perks, I recommend Drill Instructor, Momentum, and Adaptive to stay mobile during aggressive pushes. If you prefer rotating around the map faster, replace Momentum with Sprinter.

Stim Shot is the best tactical option for its instant healing and movement speed boost, helping you quickly recover and reposition during close-range fights. You can also go with Grappling Hook. If your playstyle leans more toward supporting teammates, Smoke Grenades are a great alternative. For lethal equipment, Semtex is excellent for flushing enemies out of cover, while the Combat Axe is another strong pick for quick finishes especially in Resurgence.

FAQ

Is the Mammoth LMG a meta weapon in Warzone?

Unfortunately, no. It’s not considered a meta gun due to its slow fire rate that results in a slower time-to-kill compared to the top-performing ARs and LMGs.

How does the Mammoth compare to other LMGs?

The Mammoth has a slower fire rate, handling, and mobility compared to other LMGs, but offers higher damage output and better recoil control during sustained fire.

What secondary weapon pairs best with the Mammoth?

Get a strong SMG to cover close-quarters combat. The CBRS-3 and VST are excellent choices.
