Love it or loathe it, Love Island will soon be upon us as a bevy of beauties get ready to make their debut in the villa next week.
The ITV dating show is a jewel in the channel's crown and prides itself on showing viewers the highs and lows of the contestants' experience.
However, while fans are privy to a lot - that Maura/Tommy cringefest for starters - they're not shown everything.
As we strap in for another summer of love, let's take a lot at what really went down behind the scenes.
McDonald's in the villa
In 2019, fans were perplexed when they saw a MacDonald's McFlurry hiding in the freezer.
The gang are rarely shown eating in on the show, but viewers couldn't believe a cheeky Macca's had been brought in.
However, daughter of actor Tamer Hassan, Belle and her ex Anton Danyluk confirmed the milkshake's maker.
Belle told Heat magazine : "Yeah, we needed that. We really did."
While Anton added: "I think it was about once a week we were getting them.
"I also had a few chicken nuggets here and there. Belle was trying to fatten me up, before the next bombshell came in."
Of course it wasn't the chicken nuggets Anton had to worry about.
He and Belle split up shortly after leaving the villa with the make-up artist reportedly fed up with her partner's partying ways.
Faye threatening to quit
Faye Winter and her beau Teddy Soares are still going strong after meeting in the villa last year.
But the letting agent almost bailed on the first day of filming.
The 26-year-old made the shock confession in a chat with host Laura Whitmore during the show's final.
Fans weren't shown the dramatic scene, but Faye said: “I didn’t want to be here. I wanted to go home. I hated it.
"I wanted to go home. I wanted to ring my mum and dad and say, ‘Come and get me,’ but it worked out for the best.”
Teddy reportedly flirting with Kaila in Casa Amor
After months in the spotlight, Teddy got his gal, Faye, and the rest is history.
But according to Casa Amor bombshell Kaila Troy, the Mancunian enjoyed spending time with her on the show.
Speaking to the Daily Star, she said: "I spoke to all the guys, but it was Teddy that I liked the most and we spoke a lot!I
"I mean they didn’t show it, but I had a lot of conversations with him.
"We used to work-out together and just talking about life, you know the whole shebang."
Demi's huge row with Alexi
Demi Jones and Alexi Eraclides apparently had a huge showdown in the villa in 2020.
According to model said there was ‘a bit of a disagreement’ over whether she would share a bed with Biggs or Alexi while the villa boys were in Casa Amor with the new recruits.
Confirming the argument, Demi told Metro : "It’s a bit of a weird one and wasn’t even anything that bad. Me and Alexi had an argument but they never aired it and I was so surprised.
"I think it was just bizarre and out of the blue because I’m not one to be confrontational. He started on me and I was like, “Argh, what do I do?” It was a bit weird."
Demi came third on the show with her partner Luke Mabbott.
However the pair split up when they returned to the UK, with the influencer citing their 'energy differences' as the reason why.
Laura Anderson walking out three times
Poor old Laura didn't have the easiest time on the show.
She was turned down twice by boys she really liked and even had to watch her pal Georgia Steele get it on with her partner Jack Fowler.
According to The Sun, Laura said: "I walked out three times. They brought me back. The first time I walked out was when Wes [Anderson] peed me off. I didn’t sleep all night."
Despite her rocky road on the show, Laura is now living the dream in Dubai with Another Level star Dane Bowers.
*Love Island starts at 9pm Monday 6th June on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox.
