The Northern Lights put on one of the best displays in years according to one expert, as Scots captured stunning images up and down the country.
People as close to Glasgow as Paisley were even able to spot the lights through the clouds over Paisley, while further north in places like Lossiemouth and Aviemore, Scots described the experience as "emotional" as the lights were strongly visible to the naked eye.
Andrew Allan, who runs the Scotland’s Nightsky Facebook page which offers tips and advice on night sky phenomena, said it was safe to say that the Aurora on Sunday night (March 13) was the "best Northern Lights show in years".
