The 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera is one of the strongest new cars in Forza Horizon 6, and it has already become a target for players who want super-high-end drag builds, as well as other disciplines the car excels at.
The Gemera arrived as part of the Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass on May 28, making it the second post-launch DLC car added to the game after the 1990 Nissan #12 Skyline GT-R BNR32 Gr.
It’s an S2-Class Hypercar with a PI of 900, but a simple and cheap engine modification can unlock all of its potential.
How to get the Koenigsegg Gemera in Forza Horizon 6
You can get the 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera through the Forza Horizon 6 Car Pass starting May 28. The Car Pass is included with the Deluxe Edition, Premium Edition, and Premium Upgrade, and it is also sold separately.
Once the Gemera is available, Car Pass owners should receive the car directly at their garages. The car could also be sold at the Auction, but Car Pass vehicles are usually a rare sight there.
It’s unknown whether the car appears through another method later.
Best Koenigsegg Gemera builds in Forza Horizon 6
The product of Christian von Koenigsegg’s genius, Gemea is a 900 PI monster that’s shackled to the S2-Class deliberately. R or X-Class cars can’t enter nearly as many events, so it makes sense that the car was limited. But if you go into the upgrades menu and remove the engine limiter, the car immediately gains 700+ brake horsepower, and you start to realize what all the hype was about.
The Gemera is actually a car that you can make worse by going up in class. At 900 PI, it has lots of torque and is able to compete, but at 999 PI, it’s suddenly too heavy and unwieldy.
Drag Build
The 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera immediately became one of the best Drag cars, especially on the longer strip.
The final build will depend on which class you want to race in, but some overlap exists:
- Equip the Drag tires for the best performance.
- Equip the 4-Speed Drift gearbox so the car revs faster.
- Apply weight reduction.
- Remove the power limiter for 1,300 Credits if all you need is raw speed.
- In the Tune settings, shift the Final Drive setting to Speed instead of Acceleration.
The Gemera is able to hold its own against the 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition Forza Edition and the 1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata Forza Edition, and outright smokes the Koenigsegg Jesko.
Road Build
What makes the Gemera one of the, if not outright best, cars in the game, is how versatile it is. You can very easily make it a 998 PI monster Hypercar that can run the Colossus race in record time.
The car’s biggest problem is its handling due to being a ship-sized 4-seater, but if you focus on weight reduction, suspension, and brakes, you can boost the Handling to a respectable 8.5.
The Gemera has the lightest wheel rims in the game, so if you need to bring down the PI number after overshooting it, you can equip heavier ones to balance it out.
This car also works decently well as a detuned and engine-swapped S1-Class vehicle, but at that point, it loses most of its advantages
Drift and Offroad builds
Curiously, this luxurious Hypercar can work really well as a Drift car. The secret is in its AWD transmission that allows it to hold a stable drift angle and, along with a high torque engine, quickly shift the weight into the opposite direction.
The same base concept applies to the Offroad build: the difference is that you go for the higher suspension and grab off-road tires instead of Drift or Drag ones.
Detuning to S1 makes more sense here, as you’re not chasing the overwhelming top speed and do this more for the car’s platform stability.
Overall, the 2024 Koenigsegg Gemera is one of the most fun debut cars Forza Horizon has had in the last couple of entries. Hopefully, it will become available outside the Car Pass in one way or another soon.
