Best Buddies remain good neighbours as they move to same housing development to keep friendship going

As the Australian soap song reminds us, “Everybody needs good neighbours.”

And best pals Norma Black, 59, and Audrey Hall have kept their friendship going by moving into the same Paisley housing development.

Miller Homes is marking Neighbour’s Week - June 17 to 22 - by shining a light on the lovely friendship between two residents at its Hawkhead development.

Norma and Audrey are joined at the hip, so much so that when Audrey moved to the four-bedroom Forsyth at Hawkhead, best friend Norma and partner John, 53, also decided to move to the new development and even bought the same house
style.

“Audrey and I have been neighbours for 18 years and quickly became friends.

“We were both very intrigued when Miller Homes started to build in Paisley, and the gorgeous homes at its Hawkhead development were certainly eye-catching.

“Audrey and I were eager to know more about the different house styles Miller Homes was building, and that’s where we found our dream homes.

“My partner and I took a tour of the Tait show home and instantly fell in love.

“Audrey and her other half were already two steps ahead of us and managed to secure their
Forsyth.

“As soon as Audrey broke the news of their move, we knew the timing was right.

“Within a matter of hours, John and I were straight on the phone to the Miller Homes’ development sales manager to discuss our options,” said Norma.

Norma and John have been together for 22 years and have always been local to Paisley.

Location was key for the couple as they considered a move.

Norma said: “Paisley is a great place to live, and it has brilliant transport links for
commuting.

“Trains and buses are all within easy reach, and Glasgow Airport is just a stone’s throw from our home – perfect for getting away on holidays.

“I know Paisley like the back of my hand, and it has a lot to offer with its rich history and local amenities.

“John and I both work in Glasgow city centre, and Paisley allows us to get into town in just 25 minutes.”

The Paisley couple are delighted with the move.

“It has been so lovely to make the move with Audrey to the same development, and we’re enjoying life in our new homes around the corner from one another,” added Norma.
