Whilst Black Friday officially gets underway on the 29th November, there are actually hundreds of deals already live, especially on golf clubs. From drivers to putters, package sets to wedges, there are big discounts to be had on some of the most well-known, and reputable brands in the game - such as Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Srixon, Mizuno and more.
Just some of the ones I immediately noticed were on new clubs like the TaylorMade Qi10, Callaway Ai Smoke, Titleist TSR and Cobra Darkspeed ranges as those clubs were all released in 2024 and are already reduced. The Strata sets are heavily reduced and are ideal sets for beginners, whilst it is great to see discounts on premium items from Scotty Cameron and L.A.B Golf.
Below, we have take a look at some of the best deals on clubs and it is worth me saying that we have only written about clubs we have actually tested ourselves. We do this because we only want to write about clubs we know to be good, and when the discount is a big one we want to make it clear WHY the deal is so good. It is only by thoroughly testing the clubs that we can do this. If you want to read the in-depth reviews of the clubs we mention below, watch out for the 'read our full review' links. Additionally for more advice on how to choose golf clubs, or where to find the best deals, we have sections at the bottom of this page to help you out.

When is Black Friday?
Black Friday gets, officially underway on Friday 29th November. However, companies often introduce offers to the market early, with lots of golf gear available at reduced rates in the lead up to Black Friday. Cyber Monday also takes place on the 2nd December.
How to choose new golf clubs
Price
Black Friday presents a unique opportunity to take advantage of some huge discounts on top of the range golf equipment. Depending on what kind of kit you're buying, the quality of the equipment and how long ago the product was released, its best to be savvy and use the Black Friday sales to your advantage, so that you're not paying full RRP for a set of golf clubs, which can be a costly outlay.
Size and shaft flex
It's good to test out a similar set of clubs before you purchase a set of clubs in the Black Friday sales. That way you can ensure you're getting the right club for your height, swing speed and strength, which are all important considerations to make when trying to find the right club for you. Particularly when buying a driver, it's good to pay close attention to the type of shaft flex you're buying. More flexible shafts are better for players with slower swing speeds, while firmer shafts are more suitable for golfers with fast swing speeds.
Gapping
Particularly when thinking about buying a new set of wedges or fairway woods, its important to not double up on the loft of club you're buying. For example, you may not need to buy a hybrid if you're thinking about buying a utility iron. Similarly, you may only want to carry a lob wedge in your bag instead of a sand wedge. Think about the different clubs you're buying and the distances each will cover in your bag.
Forgiveness
Depending on your experience as a golfer, it is important to buy a set of clubs that you can use. If you're a lower handicap player, it is perhaps not wise to buy a set of the best blade irons that will not offer as much forgiveness as some of the best irons for high-handicappers. For that reason, think about your abilities as a golfer and try to purchase the right club for you.
Why should I buy new golf clubs on Black Friday?
Buying any kind of golf club can be an expensive outlay. At full RRP, a set of golf irons, or a premium driver, can set you back anywhere between $200 to $2000 and, unless you fancy your chances as a competitive or professional golfer, that is a big outlay for a set of golf clubs.
As many are feeling the pinch from the cost of living crisis and inflation, spending big on golf equipment is not an absolute must, especially now that you can pick up cheap golf clubs from sales events like Black Friday.
For that reason, if you're after a new driver, wedge or putter, it's best to hold out until the Black Friday sales because, as you can see above with some of the early deals before the day itself, there are some great discounts to be found.
Where to find the best deals
In the US, some of the best golf retailers include PGA Tour Superstore, Rock Bottom Golf, Walmart and, of course, Amazon. In the UK, the best golf retailers include Scottsdale Golf, American Golf, Sports Direct and Amazon. Amazon can be tricky to navigate (check out our best Amazon Black Friday golf deals) but they're a fantastic retailer for golf watches, lasers, and balls in particular. Other retailers to keep an eye on are the brands themselves so Nike, adidas, Puma, and Under Armour.
