Here is just the thing. Conde Nast Traveller have put together a guide of all the best Airbnbs in Scotland, and this gorgeous spot in Ayrshire is the closest to Glasgow.
The Waterfall Retreat in North Ayrshire made it to their formidable list that spans the whole country and is the closest to Glasgow, only 15 minutes away from the airport and 25 minutes away from the city centre.
They say it's best for a 'tranquil stay' a stone's throw away from the city with its own private waterfall.
Author Lauren Burvill says: "This stone house was originally a working mill dating back to the 16th century. Today it’s a standout Airbnb near Glasgow thanks to its own private waterfall and pond, which you can even admire without getting out of bed.

The bathroom has a gorgeous original cast iron bath which was once featured in the TV series, Dr Finlay's Casebook.
Interestingly, it's also a vegetarian and shoe-free home. The Airbnb is £149 a night and sleeps four guests.
