Is it just us, or is it really warm in here?
Summer is in full swing, and while we’re not complaining (much), there are a few things that could make life more comfortable. Sleeping, certainly.
If you haven’t got one yet, a fan or air con unit is currently the hottest property in town. An essential for work, sleep and play, few homes can be without one when temperatures reach record highs.
Luckily, the biggest and best sale of the summer is almost upon us - and just in the nick of time, too. Yes, Amazon Prime Day is back and bringing heaps of cool deals with it.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
This year the long-awaited event will take place on July 11 and 12, running for 48 hours in total.
It follows the same two-day pattern as previous Prime Days and returns to its high summer billing following a few years of disruption thanks to the pandemic.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
It’s a spectacular, all guns blazing, no-holds barred discount and deals bonanza for those who are subscribed to Amazon’s Prime membership.
Over two days you’ll score low prices on must-have goods, with everything from beauty and baby to tech and trampolines at heavily discounted prices. If you’ve been waiting for the price to drop on something, now’s your chance to make your move.
What kind of deals to expect?
The nature of Amazon as a vast virtual warehouse means you can get your bargain-hungry paws on just about anything, from a flashy juicer and new widescreen OLED to a gleaming fridge freezer to replace the clapped out one in the kitchen.
Look for Deals of the Day and Lightning Deals, which both run for limited times before either selling out or returning to its RRP. Moral of the story? Don’t wait: if you see a bargain price, move fast.
That goes especially for air conditioning units, which often tip into the triple-figure bracket. Offering stronger cooling powers than a garden variety fan, these machines can blast out blissfully chilled air to keep you as cool as a surfing cuke all summer long.
How to find the best deals on Amazon Prime Day
Why trawl and head-scratch your way through all the thousands of deals on Amazon when you’ve got the ES Best team to cherry pick the best ones for you? Come to us on July 11 and 12, and you won’t be disappointed. We’ll shout about the best deals as soon as we hear about them on our Live Blog. If it’s OnlyFans you’re looking for, return to this page to find the hottest deals and candidates.
How to take part in Amazon Prime Day
Before you go, a bit of housekeeping. As we mentioned earlier, only Prime members are eligible for the special sale prices on Amazon Prime Day. So, if you haven’t signed up yet, you’ll need to on or before July 11.
That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to whack out the plastic: Amazon offers a 30 day free trial that counts as membership. You’ll get to explore everything Amazon has to offer - from Prime Video and Music to gaming through Twitch and myriad other perks - absolutely risk-free and without fronting any cash at all.
If you decide to keep membership, it will set you back just £8.99 a month or do an annual charge of £95 for the year. For students, it’s even better news: £4.49 per month or £47.49 yearly.
