Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has admitted he did not watch last Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Liverpool back - but has hailed his team-mates for the way in which they responded to their first setback of the Premier League season.
An incredible second half strike from Mohamed Salah, following a pinpoint pass from Alisson Becker, was enough for Liverpool to claim their biggest scalp of a stuttering season to date.
Pep Guardiola's men came into the contest firmly on the heels of Mikel Arteta's Arsenal and had hopes of keeping within touching distance of the Gunners with a victory. However, a disallowed goal from Phil Foden and some uncharacteristic misses from early-season sensation Erling Haaland condemned the Citizens to the familiar feeling of defeat on Merseyside.

And after being denied the opportunity to bounce straight back with victory in midweek - due to their Premier League clash with Arsenal being rescheduled to accommodate the Gunners' Europa League backlog - City responded with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Brighton at the Etihad on Saturday afternoon.
The Portugal international, after admitting he did not watch the Anfield action back, credited the mentality of his team-mates for responding to such a disappointing defeat but also lauded manager Guardiola and his obsession to put their Merseyside misery right.
Speaking after the victory, he said: "We were very upset after what happened last weekend [against Liverpool], so to get three points against a very tough team [Brighton], we're very happy. I didn’t watch the [Liverpool] game back. Pep [Guardiola] probably did and he explained what failed.
“Over the last four/five years we’ve had disappointing games in the Premier League and Champions League. After defeats, this team has always reacted well. It bounces back together and go again for another game. No team in the world can sustain a season or two seasons without losing.
"Sometimes you're going to lose, it's how you react and this team reacts well."
