Bernardo Silva is reportedly poised to bin the idea of moving to Barcelona and will shortly commit his future to Manchester City.
The midfielder has been chased by the Spanish giants all summer despite their financial troubles. City are said to value the Portugal international at £84m, which dissuaded Barcelona.
Pep Guardiola does not want to lose the 28-year-old, with whom he has won four Premier League titles. He enjoyed a fruitful campaign last term, particularly in the first half when he scored eight goals before Christmas.

After being made aware of Barcelona’s interest, which by all accounts tempted Silva, the Athletic claims the player is ready to knuckle down once again at the Etihad. It adds that a move to Spain is unlikely to happen this season, despite him telling the club to allow him to leave if a suitable offer came in earlier in the summer.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that appearance-less City right-back Issa Kabore has joined Marseille on loan with a £17m option-to-buy clause. The 21-year-old signed for the Blues in 2020 but has failed to break into the first team.
He enjoyed a progressive loan spell at French club Troyes last season, recording two assists in 32 appearances. Kabore links up with the likes of former Manchester United attacker Alexis Sanchez and former Gunners midfielder Matteo Guendouzi at Marseille for the upcoming term.
