Manchester City winger Bernardo Silva believes Pep Guardiola's side do not get as much credit as Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
City and the Reds have formed an iconic rivalry in recent years due to their outstanding achievements. Guardiola's reigning Premier League champions have won four titles, four EFL Cups, two Community Shields and the FA Cup since his appointment in July 2016.
Klopp, meanwhile, arrived at Liverpool in October 2015 and has achieved similar success. The Reds have won the Premier League title, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, UEFA Super Cup, Club World Cup and Community Shield during his time on Merseyside.
While Guardiola has won more trophies at City (11), Klopp has achieved success in more competitions at Liverpool (7). Guardiola has also spent twice as much as his rival in transfer market, which is a measure of the job Klopp has done at Anfield.
Despite this, Silva believes Guardiola deserves just as much credit as Klopp. "I'm not complaining here, but I feel like other clubs get a lot more credit than Man City for doing less," said the Portuguese playmaker told ESPN.
"For example, when I was at Benfica - a huge club in Portugal with more fans, more everything - you do something nice, and they make it look like it's great. Here at Man City, you do something great and they make it look like it's just good.

"I'm not complaining, but playing in the Premier League and winning four titles in five years and checking the Premier League team of the year every year and knowing that we're never the team that has the most players.
"We don't have the best manager, we don't have the best players, but we still win four Premier Leagues in five years? It just doesn't make sense. It probably shows that Man City players don't get as much credit as they should. Of course, we don't get the credit that we deserve."
When it comes to LMA Manager of the Year award - generally regarded as the biggest coaching honour in England - Klopp and Guardiola have both won the prize twice. The only person to deny either of them in the last five years is Chris Wilder, who claimed the award as Sheffield United boss in 2019 for achieving promotion to the Premier League.
Silva has played a key role in Guardiola's success at the Etihad - joining the City in the summer of 2017 - but he may not be there for much longer. Barcelona are interested in bringing him to the Camp Nou before the transfer window closes on September 1.
Regardless of his future, Silva believes it's going to be an exciting Premier League campaign. "It's unpredictable, honestly," he added. "Of course, looking at what has happened over the past four or five seasons, you always look at City and Liverpool and you think that they're going to be the two favourites, but look at the team Chelsea is building.
" Tottenham is getting much better, Arsenal is getting better, Man United have got a new manager and some new signings - I think personally, they are going to be better as well. It's getting more and more competitive every year."
