Two UK men who head off to the holiday hotspot Benidorm multiple times a year have shared how they pull it off so cheaply.
The duo, who go by Grumet and Dazza, are “like celebs” in the popular seaside town due to their hilarious TikTok videos on the account grumet_benidorm where they share their habit of getting into silly situations.
Grumet, as he prefers to be known, has a whopping 136,000 followers on the video site and another 10,000 on Instagram, @grumettt. The pair love to head to Benidorm as it is just so “cheap”.

Speaking to Daily Star, Grumet said: “I can do a full week, accommodation, flights, food and drink for under £250 (€285). I go with the family in the summer, but in the winter it’s cheap to get over there so all the lads just go. You can get return flights for about £30 (€34).”
Throughout the daytime, the pair head off on walks where they film their viral antics. Sometimes this includes pranks or trying various food challenges around town, such as Uncle Ron’s Big Benidorm Breakfast challenge.
The challenge requires you to eat, in 20 minutes, a whopping 12 slices of toast, four sausages, four hash browns, a pile of bacon, five fried tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and five fried eggs.
However, it took a total of 23 for Dazza to finish the massive breakfast, admitting he was “struggling” towards the end.
Thankfully, Grumet says that food and drink are so cheap in Benidorm, you are unlikely to spend a fortune and have fun no matter what.
He explained: “You can get a Full English fry up for £2.50 (€2.80) at Uncle Ron’s and Auntie Bella’s Yorkshire Pride. If you want steak it’s only about £6 (€6.80).”
However, it’s when night rolls around that you make the real savings compared to a clubbing holiday almost anywhere else in the world.
Grumet said: “You can get pints for 80p (90 cents) from Uncle Peds and Cafe Benidorm. It costs more for a cup of tea than it does for a pint of lager. You can get a glass of vodka for like €3.50.”
In some of their videos, the pair share the cheapest spots in the whole of Benidorm.
On Dazza’s account, @dazza_bigdogbenidorm, he shows pints of Amstel and Fosters for just €1. With, a bottle of Heineken and Sol costing €1.50.
Dazzo also found shots for just €2, Jagerbombs for €5, a pint of vodka red bull for €5 and buckets with five pints for just €6.
Given the average price of a pint in Dublin is between €6.50 and €7.50, that is a massive bargain.
However, Grumet added that there is one sneaky way of enjoying a night in the town without spending a penny.
He explained: “Every bar will offer you something for free. Just hold out normally and you can get drunk because there are people standing outside the bars saying ‘come in, free drinks, free drinks.’
“So get a free drink, you come back out, go in the next one and get another free drink. You just keep going to the next one along and you can get drunk for nowt.”
