For Bengaluru commuters tired of spending around Rs 1,500 on a cab ride to Kempegowda International Airport, a cheaper alternative is taking shape. Namma Metro’s Blue Line will connect the city to KIA, though commuters will have to wait a little longer for the full route to become operational.
The 58-km Blue Line, which will connect Central Silk Board with Kempegowda International Airport, is now expected to become fully operational by March 2028. The corridor will open in phases, with the airport stretch scheduled to be commissioned before the entire line is completed.
