Bengaluru: Woman hangs 3.5-year-old daughter from fan, ends life

BENGALURU: A 31-year-old woman allegedly murdered her three-and-a-half-year-old daughter by hanging her from the ceiling fan of her bedroom and later hanged herself in their flat in Channasandra near Rarajeshwarinagar on Thursday.

Deepa and her daughter Riya were residents of Mantri Alpyne apartment on Uttarahalli Main Road. Police suspect Deepa might have taken the extreme step due to health problems. She left behind a suicide note in which she didn't blame anyone for the step. "Nobody is responsible for it...I am sorry mom and Divya Love you Shona," she wrote.
