Bengaluru: Techie held for ruckus in bar

BENGALURU: A 27-year-old software engineer from Punjab was arrested on charges of damaging an LED TV and breaking liquor bottles in a bar on Monday midnight.

Himanshu Kalra, who stays in a paying guest accommodation in RMV II Stage, Sanjaynagar, fought with bar manager Nandish S over the bill. According to Nandish’s police complaint, “Kalra first argued with other customers and later turned his ire on us. Despite our repeated requests, he continued to abuse our staff and then damaged the LED TV worth Rs 45,000 and destroyed whiskey bottles worth over Rs 40,000.”
