Bengaluru: Sewage water enters subway at Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna station

BENGALURU: Passengers at KSR Bengaluru City railway station had a harrowing experience on Tuesday as sewage water had inundated the pedestrian subway. South Western Railway sources said there was a blockage in the drain and the subway was filled with water at 8.30am.

"This is a major railway station in the city. Look at the condition of the subway. Authorities should ensure such incidents don't happen," said Pradeep Kumar, a passenger from Kengeri.

Shyam Singh, Bengaluru divisional railway manager said the problem has been resolved. "There was a little blockage in the drain on Monday. The pump was tripping repeatedly, hence water couldn't flow out."
