BENGALURU: In a fresh twist to the Idgah Maidan row, right-wing organisations are piling pressure on the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) by demanding that it allow sale of Ganesha idols at the disputed side in Chamarajpet, Bengaluru.
S Bhaskaran, president, Vishwa Sanatan Parishad, said besides allowing sale of Ganesha idols, he will also press the Palike to grant permission to hoist the national flag on August 15. He said he does not have any problem with BBMP issuing a khata to Karnataka state board of AUQAF if it furnishes documents proving ownership.
